The recently concluded Mission-wide Sabbath School and Personal Ministry Certification Level 2 event, which took place from November 1-4 at the Matutum View Academy Gym, brought together SMM administrators district pastors, Sabbath School and Personal Ministry leaders, and one church elder per cluster for an enriching and educational experience.

In a bid to strengthen the media and marketing capabilities of Adventist hospitals in Mindanao, the SPUC Communication Department and Hope Channel South Philippines joined forces to conduct a specialized training program for the marketing and media officers of three prominent healthcare institutions.

In a momentous development for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Philippines, the South Philippines Union Conference (SPUC) has officially dissolved to pave the way for the establishment of two vibrant and purpose-driven entities. This highly significant decision, endorsed by an overwhelming majority during a special Constituency Meeting held on October 26, aligns with the recent approval by the General Conference Executive Committee to bifurcate the South Philippines region.

During the annual council of the General Conference held at Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, on October 10, 2023, a momentous decision was made that will reshape the South Philippine Union Conference (SPUC). The council voted to approve the bifurcation of the organization, signifying a significant change within its structure.
