Kids for Jesus Season 2: Transformative Impact on Elementary Schools
From April 14 to April 20, 2024, a total of 106 elementary schools from two different Unions, the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (64 schools) and the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (42 schools), participated in an event called "Kids for Jesus Season 2." This event was originally organized by the Education Department of the former South Philippine Union Conference. This event was marked by spiritual awakening and baptismal ceremonies. All of this left a strong and lasting impact on the lives of 1,153 pupils, parents, and other individuals who were baptized.
The program included a week-long blend of in-campus evangelism and public outreach efforts, culminating in the baptism of hundreds who were moved by the powerful messages shared. Each night, speakers from nursery to grade 6 took the stage to deliver inspiring sermons, captivating their audience and igniting a passion for faith.
Parents praised the program for its transformative impact on their children and families. They expressed astonishment at witnessing their children being nurtured to preach, host, sing, and perform other presentations, skills they never imagined their young ones possessing. Moreover, they observed a notable transformation in their children's lives, as they became more prayerful, spoke kind words, and embraced religious songs with newfound zeal.
The influence of the pupils extended beyond the school gates, drawing their parents closer to spiritual enlightenment. During the testimony hour at Golden Boulevard SDA Elementary School, other Christian or non-adventist parents echoed their gratitude for the rare opportunity afforded by the school, where children were empowered to speak and share their faith. Many parents, moved by their children's testimonies, expressed their commitment to Adventist education, recognizing it as a unique environment where spiritual growth flourishes.
A parent and her daughter started their journey towards baptism last year. They decided to relocate closer to the school to make Adventist education more accessible. This decision was influenced by the impact of Kids for Jesus Season 2, which not only touched the lives of the students but also the parents and the entire community, who embraced the ethos of faith.
The excitement of the pupils was evident as they showed unwavering eagerness to participate in the program night after night. Their dedication to the cause, along with the support of their families and educators, exemplifies the spirit of Kids for Jesus and the enduring legacy of Adventist Education. The culmination of the program included a special coverage of the simultaneous baptism on February 20, which took place between 1 pm and 2:30 pm via Hope Channel South Philippines.
As the echoes of Kids for Jesus Season 2 resonate throughout the region, it serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, igniting a flame of faith that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were touched by its transformative power.
