A movement ignited as thousands of believers from the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) came together to speak with one voice in Christ's name. The initiative, titled OneVoice27, marks a significant milestone in the church's unity and mission, aiming to engage hearts and transform communities through a shared purpose.

As anticipation built ahead of the launch, preparations were already underway long before September 5. Under the guidance of the administration, NDR/IEL, and the communication department, every department at SwPUC collaborated seamlessly to develop a comprehensive evangelism strategy. Regular meetings fostered prayer, planning, and creative collaboration, ensuring that materials were contextualized and relevant to the communities they serve. The powerful mantra of the movement emerged: “One Church. One Mission. One Voice.”

In today’s digital age, the power of messaging cannot be underestimated. Before the official launch, SwPUC administrators and directors came together to produce a promotional video in Cebuano, a language that resonates deeply with church members. Distributed across various digital platforms, the video sparked interest and excitement throughout the community, quickly amassing over 100,000 views. The message spread from phone to phone, from social media wall to wall, emphasizing the unifying power of OneVoice27.

OneVoice27 is more than just a digital initiative; it aims to foster personal connections within the church community. A series of Zoom training sessions equipped local pastors and church leaders to mobilize their congregations effectively. During these sessions, pastors learned how to integrate digital ministry with personal outreach and care groups, demonstrating that online connections can lead to meaningful relationships and pathways to discipleship. 

This initiative was supported by newly developed digital resources and platforms, including the Digital Bible Study Guide, the User-Friendly Desire of Ages, and GraceNotes, which feature inspirational quotes, Bible verses, and stories. We shared all of these resources with our church members, along with posters and bookmarks distributed to each church.

When September 5 arrived, local churches throughout the SwPUC opened their doors to a new chapter of ministry. With the OneVoice27 tarpaulin proudly displayed, congregations gathered to watch promotional videos, engage in sermons, and learn how to integrate digital outreach with personal connection. The energy was palpable as churches echoed with enthusiasm and shared purpose.

One of the most touching moments of the day came when members were invited to write down the names of individuals they hoped to reach. Friends, relatives, coworkers, and neighbors—those searching for hope—were lifted up in prayer as the congregation shared commitment cards. This heartfelt act exemplified the essence of OneVoice27: a collective mission to bring the light of the Gospel to those in need.

Pastor Berneil Hotillano, the District Pastor of the Western Mindanao Conference in Clarin, Misamis Occidental, said church members in his district are eager and ready to “advance to the next phase of this initiative.”

As the movement unfolds, OneVoice27 is more than an initiative; it is a heartfelt call to unity and purpose. Together, the church stands poised to make an impact, with the collective prayer and action of its members driving the mission forward. The Southwestern Philippine Union Conference is not just speaking; it is raising its voice in harmony to reach a world that is yearning for hope and salvation.
