SwPUC Concludes Constituency Meeting, Elects New Leaders

The Constituency Meeting of the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) officially concluded today after opening on November 17, Cagayan de Oro City. Convened once every four years, the session reviewed key policies, affirmed the church’s direction for the next quinquennium, and elected the new set of leaders who will guide the union forward.

Most officers were retained in their positions, with Pr. Jerry C. Patalinghug re-elected as President and Pr. Max Dante Obbus as Executive Secretary. Neulin S. Sanes was elected as the new Treasurer, succeeding Chemuel U. Almocera, who has retired. The complete list of elected officers has been released through the official SwPUC page. During the Commitment Service, Pr. Patalinghug encouraged leaders to dedicate their gifts to God’s work. “We have different gifts and talents, and we need to bring them together for the church’s mission,” he said.

Leaders from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) were present throughout the gathering. Devotional messages were delivered by SSD President Pr. Roger O. Caderma, who emphasized relationship, unity, and identity in Christ; SSD Executive Secretary Yotam Bindosano, who spoke on the essential truths of God’s authority entrusted to His chosen witnesses; and SSD Treasurer Pr. Jacinto M. Adap, who shared that the trust of leadership is given because the Holy Spirit empowers those called to serve.

All missions, conferences, and institutions presented their progress reports. Delegates also voted on several agenda items, including the approval of the upcoming My Journey With God program scheduled for December 3–12, 2025.
