SwPUC Launches New Digital Platforms for the OneVoice27 Initiative in Schools, Hospitals, and Soon Local Churches

The Communications Department of the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) has embarked on an important field visit to various educational and medical institutions with a clear vision of using modern technology spiritual and evangelism enrichment. This initial strategic visit took place from June 29 to July 3, 2026, and included visits to health institutions and schools, including Adventist Medical Center in Iligan, Adventist Medical Center in Valencia, Lake View Academy, and Mountain View College Academy (MVCA). This is the first phase of a broader program that will soon extend to all Adventist academies and colleges within the SwPUC territory.

The team, on the other hand, demonstrated an inclusive approach by visiting lay-run institutions, specifically the Central Bukidnon Institute, Inc. and Torres Capito College. This visit reflects a growing interest among their administrators in using digital tools for both mission work and education within their communities.

Meanwhile, the main purpose of this visit was to introduce and share new digital platforms as the church gets ready for "One Voice 27." This initiative, organized by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, aims to bring together the church’s media presence worldwide. It focuses on spreading a strong message of hope across all digital channels globally. The SwPUC fully supports this effort and is promoting The Desire of Ages as the Book of the Year. The SwPUC Communication Department, led by Pastor Roxie Pido, is working to make this beloved book available in digital format. By converting this important biographical account of Christ's life into an easy-to-use format, Pastor Pido and the IT team, led by Renz Tero, are ensuring that spiritual literature is easily accessible on smartphones and mobile devices. This change helps remove barriers to personal devotion and evangelism.

Further, the introduction of new digital tools, including a recently developed outreach platform, has generated significant enthusiasm among health institutions and educational leaders. Dr. Liel Gem M. Pondara, principal of Mountain View College Academy, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the SwPUC Communications Department for launching the digital program on the academy's campus. She emphasized the academy's eagerness to fully utilize these digital platforms to support the spiritual development of everyone on campus and in the surrounding community. The school is committed to integrating the digital edition of "The Desire of Ages" directly into their curriculum. This resource will serve as foundational material for both faculty and homeroom devotionals from July to December 2027, fostering a journey of spiritual harmony for teachers and students alike.

Beyond the digital platforms designed for in-reach, the team also introduced digital resources intended to strengthen personal outreach. Dr. Pondara shared that Mountain View College Academy is incredibly excited about the possibilities of implementing the newly received digital materials into their established literacy outreach program, knowing that the academy plans to bring these resources to an adopted local Indigenous People in their community.

Through collaborative efforts and digital innovations, institutions across the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) are united in proclaiming a message of hope through the OneVoice27 initiative. Every department is working together, both in the digital space and through on-the-ground ministry, advancing a single mission with one voice to reach more lives for Christ.
