The Seventh-day Adventist Church headquarters, located in Uptown, Cagayan de Oro City, successfully conducted the second installment of the Heart Reach Ministry. This essential community outreach initiative aims to exemplify God's love through compassionate service by offering critical health education, medical care, and instilling renewed hope within surrounding communities.

The outreach event commenced with an inspiring devotional message delivered by Pastor Joven Jimenez of Adventist Medical Center Valencia (AMCV). He aptly highlighted the intrinsic value of human life and the significance of hope during challenging times. Following this opening address, committed medical volunteers from both AMCV and Adventist Medical Center Iligan (AMCI) facilitated a mini health lecture and provided complimentary medical screenings to all participants.

The leadership team observed profound expressions of joy and gratitude from the attendees. Pastor Teddy Ba-ang, the Sabbath School Director of SwPUC, remarked on the program's dual impact, noting that participants not only benefited from essential health assessments but also returned home with tangible goods to share with their families. Janelie Sumatra, President of AMCV, underscored the initiative's focus on education, explaining that the mini health expo effectively instructed recipients on vital lifestyle choices, including nutrition and adequate rest to promote overall well-being.

Furthermore, the initiative cultivated a commendable spirit of unity and inclusivity. Marife M. Patalinghug, the organizer and Director of the SwPUC Ministerial Spouses Association and Children's Ministries, expressed her profound gratitude to the dedicated partners who collaborated in support of the ministry, emphasizing the honor of welcoming individuals from various denominations to access these services. Following the health screenings, organizers distributed food packages and donated clothing, supplied by both local and international partners, embodying a holistic approach to enhancing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of every participant.

Additionally, a team of SwPUC Directors provided counseling to participants, addressing their challenges and offering spiritual guidance and prayer. Many participants faced issues such as marital separation and early teenage pregnancy. Due to their circumstances, several expressed a desire to receive pastoral visits at their homes. Notably, many participants identified as non-Adventists.

In addition to the immediate provision of food and medical services, the Heart Reach Ministry aspires to serve as a lasting resource of support and encouragement. Through ongoing service and meaningful collaboration within the community, this initiative stands as a compelling testament to the notion that simple acts of generosity can forge an unwavering source of strength and hope for countless individuals, all while advancing a singular mission to reach the world for Christ.
