SwPUC Ruby Care Group and AMCI Launch Historic Evangelistic Series in the Dinagat Islands

The Ruby Care Group of the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) has embarked on a historic evangelistic partnership with the Adventist Medical Center Iligan (AMCI) to bring hope to the Dinagat Islands. Having officially launched on the night of July 5, three dedicated teams—two from AMCI and one from SwPUC—stationed in San Jose traveled to three prayerfully selected barangays to share the Gospel. The main purpose of the opening night across all sites was to firmly present the Bible as the ultimate source of truth.

Meanwhile, the AMCI teams experienced profound blessings and divine intervention during their respective launches. Dr. Jeanni Generato, leading the first site, encountered a logistical challenge when her team lost their way and arrived at 8:00 PM. However, they were amazed to find over 100 people, including local seminarians, patiently waiting and eager to listen to the truth. Further, AMCI President Dr. Jonathan Casio’s team expressed deep gratitude for receiving unprecedented local government permits for their series, complementing their spiritual efforts with two prior medical missions to address the community's physical health.

Beyond the medical outreach, the SwPUC Ruby Care Group witnessed a remarkable turnout for their own opening night, where Pastor Deonnel Peren served as the designated speaker. More than 120 participants, including nearby church members and local missionaries, filled the venue for their barangay's first-ever evangelistic meeting. SwPUC Associate Education Director and team leader Romy Lamputi expressed heartfelt thanks to the nearby church members and the assigned missionaries who worked tirelessly to prepare the groundwork before the meetings even began. In his conversations with the seminarians, he highlighted the attendees' visible hunger to learn about Jesus and His plan of salvation.

Through these collaborative efforts, SwPUC and AMCI are united in proclaiming a message of hope across the Dinagat Islands. As this week-long evangelistic series continues toward its culmination this coming Sabbath, the church is invited to pray earnestly for this historic initiative. Every volunteer is working together, both in physical healing and on-the-ground evangelism, advancing a single mission with one voice to reach more lives for Christ.
