Virgie P. Baloyo, Director of Adventist Family Ministries in the Southern Asia Pacific Division, served as the guest speaker at the Bi-Union Adventist Family Ministries Seminar in Cagayan De Oro City, South Philippines, from February 22-24, 2024.

During the Divine Worship, Baloyo delivered a compelling message, stating that the family is a vast ministry where parents engage in ministry within the family itself. She elaborated on the three crucial pillars for understanding family ministries, with a particular focus on the Elijah message found in Malachi 4:4-6. This message highlighted the end-time significance that brings families together. According to her, the initial step involves reconciliation with God, followed by reconciliation within the family. Drawing a parallel, she compared the families of Noah and Lot, illustrating how one remained intact while the other fell apart.

She also presented various lectures covering aspects of discipleship within the family and marriage, emphasizing biblical foundations, adopting the right attitudes, conducting family worship, engaging in family evangelism, and fostering hope among couples for evangelism.

On Sabbath morning, as a token of appreciation, Baloyo received a plaque for her inspiring messages. The delegates also received certificates of participation, symbolizing their involvement in the event. The culmination took place with the Commitment Service on that same afternoon, leaving participants inspired and equipped to strengthen their familial bonds in alignment with the teachings shared during this impactful gathering.

The event attracted 231 delegates, with a quota of ten couples from each local mission or conference within the new unions, specifically the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference and the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission.
