Patalinghug warns believers about false teachings in her series finale

Mrs. Marife Patalinghug delivered her message on the Bible as the shield against false teachings on Sabbath Day, March 8, as part of the culmination of her nightly preaching series, Paglaum Luyo sa Dakong Away. The series ran from March 2 to 8, 2025, airing live from 7:00-8:00 PM on Hope Channel South Philippines.

Patalinghug, who heads the SwPUC Children's Ministries Department, thanked the children from Kids of Hope for rendering their musical talents over the past six days. She then spoke about the Bible as the ultimate shield for every Adventist believer in a world that worships falsehoods. Satan, she stated, uses every possible means to keep people from knowing the Bible, and his deceptive tactics are evident in the many ways he misleads.

"We may find it difficult to distinguish between the fake and the real, except through the Holy Scriptures. We are directed to turn to the Scriptures to guard against the influence of false teachers and the misleading power of the spirits of darkness. Every testimony and every miracle we witness must be tested against God's Word," she said.

In her conclusion, she urged viewers that if they desire eternity with God, they must study His Word. "If you want to truly know Him, study His Word. Do not wait for His return. Seek Him now," she added.

For six nights, Patalinghug shared messages encouraging viewers to develop a closer relationship with God by discussing the following topics: the destruction of Jerusalem, persecution in the early centuries, the beginning of evil, the conflict between man and Satan, and the traps of Satan.

The messages were followed by an advice segment, where online messages from individuals sought counsel. The show had different guests, including union directors and young people, who shared their insights on personal development and spiritual growth.
