Songs in Action: 12 Years of Faithful Service

Music became a powerful bridge of compassion during the benefit concert organized for the 12th anniversary of Panimbaya sa Kabuntagon World. Titled Songs of Faith, Hope, and Love,” held last February 28 and March 7, 2026 at the Hope Channel South Philippines Studio, the event brought together singers, supporters, and volunteers- who shared not only their talents, and monetary assistance but also their hearts for a greater cause in afternoons of praise and generosity, showcasing how music can bring people together and inspire them to extend hope and relief to families affected by Typhoon “Basyang” in Iligan City.

More than just a musical event, the concert carried a deeper message that when communities come together in faith and love, healing begins. Inspired by the theme “For when the waters rise, we stand together,” the program became a powerful reminder that compassion can flow even during calamity. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, funds raised from the concert were used to purchase relief goods for families whose lives were disrupted by the calamity.

Last March 15, 2026, the Panimbaya sa Kabuntagon World team personally delivered assistance to communities in Pugaan, one of the areas severely affected by the typhoon.  The beneficiaries were categorized according to the extent of damage they experienced.

Families under Category A were those whose homes were washed out or totally damaged, located in Lower and Upper Pugaan, Iligan City. For these families who lost nearly everything, the aid represented not only material support but also a reminder that they were not forgotten.

Under Category B were landslide victims whose houses were not totally damaged, residing in Palo 1, Palo 2, and Dalamas in Upper Pugaan. Though their homes still stood, the emotional and physical toll of the disaster remained heavy for them.

Meanwhile, Category C included families from Lower Pugaan, Iligan City, who were affected by the calamity but whose homes were not totally damaged. Even in less severe circumstances, the support provided encouragement as communities continue to rebuild their lives.

For many residents, the visit of the team and the distribution of goods brought more than relief supplies—it brought hope, comfort, and a sense of solidarity.

As Panimbaya sa Kabuntagon World celebrates twelve years of ministry, the concert stands as a living testimony that its mission goes beyond broadcasting messages of faith. It also means living out that faith through acts of kindness and service.

Truly, the melodies sung during the concert have now echoed far beyond the stage—reaching homes, hearts, and communities that needed them most. Because sometimes, the most powerful song is the one sung through love in action.

For 12 years of your faithful support to this ministry, thank you, mga Kapaglaum!
