SPUC Executive Committee Appoints Interim President for Northern Davao Mission

Northern Davao Mission (NDM) announces the official appointment of Pastor Danielo Palomares, SPUC Executive Secretary, as its interim president. The Executive Committee of South Philippine Union Conference (SPUC) has acted on a recent meeting for Pastor Dan’s appointment after the untimely passing last September 27th of Pastor Alex Necesario, the elected president of NDM since its establishment in January 1, 2021. He will serve in the interim position until the elections in December this year.

Pastor Dan has served in the Davao Region through Davao Mission of Seventh-day Adventists for many years as lay worker, church pastor, district leader, and department director. Since his election to serve in SPUC in 2008, he has worked as director for Stewardship Ministries, Planned Giving and Trust Services, Mindanao evangelist, Human Resource, Associate Executive Secretary and Ministerial Secretary. Presently, he is the Executive Secretary for SPUC.

In addition to this adjustment, Mrs. Zenaida “Zeny” Necesario, the widow of the late president Pastor Alex Necesario, has been appointed by the NDM Executive Committee as coordinator of the Ministerial Spouses’ Association in Northern Davao. Our church organization’s policy provides for the support of the bereaved family of an employee who died and whose spouse is unemployed, as in the case of Mrs. Necesario. Zeny holds a degree in teaching but did not seek employment to give full-time support to her late husband’s ministry.

While NDM warmly welcomes Pastor Dan Palomares and Zeny necesario, the entire staff, field workers and members, look forward to working with these new developments to continue advancing the Adventist mission in the territory.
