The Stewardship Commissioning, held from November 29 to 30, 2024, called on strategic efforts to strengthen evangelism and campaign initiatives for 2025 to all participating churches within the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference.

Held at the SwPUC Guesthouse in Cagayan De Oro, the said event brought together 200 participants and saw reports presented by 13 COP-compliant churches, with their representatives giving their testimonies about their stewardship activities. Other attendees, known contributors to COP initiatives, joined the discussions to align efforts for the upcoming year.

SwPUC Stewardship Director Pr. Michael Capapas remarked on the event's purpose, stating: "This is to educate the church about systematic giving, so that it will reinforce the need for deeper understanding and commitment among church members."

The SwPUC Stewardship Department will be focusing on its mission based on the theme, “GOD FIRST: My Lifestyle,” with a more intensified appeal to the young adults in churches in 2025.
