SwPUC Elementary Institutions Culminate “Kids for Jesus 2026”
In a powerful display of youthful faith and mission-mindedness, elementary institutions from various missions and conferences within the South Western Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC) officially culminated the week-long “Kids for Jesus 2026” evangelistic series on January 24.
Held under the inspiring theme “I Will Walk with Jesus,” the initiative reminded students, parents, and educators alike that faith is not merely a lesson taught inside the classroom—it is a daily walk lived out in real life.
From January 19 to 24, school campuses were transformed into vibrant centers of worship and outreach. Each day echoed with joyful praise songs, heartfelt prayers, and the earnest voices of young student speakers who bravely shared Bible messages before their classmates, teachers, parents, and church members.
For many of the children, standing on the platform was both exciting and challenging. One student speaker shared that preparing for the sermon helped her understand the Bible more deeply. At home, she practiced her message repeatedly, sometimes feeling nervous, but ultimately learning to trust God for courage. “I was scared at first,” she shared, “but I prayed, and I felt Jesus helping me speak.”
Parents, too, witnessed a meaningful transformation in their children. Several shared that during the week, their homes became places of prayer and practice.
A parent from GOLDEN BOULEVARD ADVENTIST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL recalled how parents invested their emotion when they would review Bible verses every day.
Chello, a mother of two in her testimony said,
"As a parent and a proud mom of my two kids, my heart is truly grateful for the brilliant minds and loving hearts behind Kids for Jesus Program. This event has been a blessing not just to the children but to the parents and families as well. Through every song, prayer, and message we can truly see how God is truly working in the hearts of our kids. They are learning who Jesus is in a joyful and meaningful way."
Mr Sanchez, a proud father enthusiastically shared his joy seeing how children offered their talents to God.
Teachers played a vital role in guiding the young speakers, patiently mentoring them not only in public speaking but also in understanding the message they were sharing. Educators observed how the children grew in confidence throughout the week—shifting from memorized lines to heartfelt messages spoken with sincerity and conviction.
The ‘Kids for Jesus’ program continues to be a meaningful expression of SwPUC’s commitment to holistic education—blending faith, character formation, and academic learning. By allowing children to lead in singing, prayer, and preaching, the program helps them discover that they are not too young to serve God and take part in His mission.
The success of the week-long evangelistic series was a true testament to the collective commitment of the Adventist community. It was made possible through the dedication of educators who guided and encouraged, parents who nurtured spiritual growth at home, and local churches that provided a supportive platform for these young missionaries to shine.
As the series concluded, its impact was evident in the renewed enthusiasm among students. Many expressed a desire to continue praying, reading the Bible, and helping others even beyond the event. For them, Kids for Jesus was not just a program—it became a personal experience of walking with Christ.
More than an annual activity, Kids for Jesus reflects SwPUC’s vision of raising a generation that is not only strong academically, but deeply rooted in faith and ready to live out their commitment to Jesus each day. Inspired by God’s promise of new life in Christ, these young hearts are learning to choose Him daily—and to continue that walk for a lifetime.
