SWPUC Welcomes New Directors and Staff in a Celebration of Unity and Mission

Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SWPUC) joyfully welcomed its new directors and staff during a meaningful gathering that highlighted unity in mission, teamwork, and family-oriented strategies in evangelism. The special occasion underscored SWPUC’s commitment to oneness, collaboration, and shared purpose in advancing the work of the Church.

The Benasahan, Nietes, Gallego, and Cabil families were warmly received into the growing SWPUC family, marking the beginning of their service within the institution. Their arrival was celebrated as a significant step toward strengthening leadership, ministry effectiveness, and organizational support across the Union.

Pastor Arnel Benasahan was formally introduced as the leader of the hundreds of ministers under SWPUC, a role that places him at the forefront of pastoral leadership and ministerial coordination. Pastor Lemuel Nietes will continue to elevate and expand the work of the Publishing Ministries, reinforcing its vital role in printed evangelism and outreach. Pastor Judyben Cabil is tasked with establishing a strong, healthy, and nurturing atmosphere among church families throughout SWPUC, emphasizing spiritual growth and relational well-being. Meanwhile, Ms. Gladys Joy Gallego will serve as Chief Accountant, working closely with the Treasury Department to ensure faithful stewardship and financial integrity.

Further strengthening the administrative team, Mrs. Maybelle Cabil and Mrs. Gerlie Benasahan were appointed as Administrative Assistants, providing essential support to the Union’s daily operations and ministry initiatives.

The program was enriched by an inspiring message from Pastor Jerry Patalinghug, the President of SWPUC, emphasized the importance of working together as one body. He reminded all workers that ministry is not a competition, but a shared calling where each individual complements the other for the greater good of God’s work.

In a heartfelt gesture of welcome, Mr. Nuelin Sanes, SWPUC's treasurer, expressed his enthusiasm for the new employees and presented tokens symbolizing a vow that SWPUC would serve as their second home. Adding to the words of encouragement, Pastor Max Obbus, the Executive Secretary of this union, assured the new staff that as they labor faithfully in their respective roles, God will never abandon them.

The gathering concluded with a renewed sense of unity, purpose, and dedication, as SWPUC continues to move forward—together—in fulfilling its mission of service, evangelism, and family-centered ministry.
