The special occasion underscored SWPUC’s commitment to oneness, collaboration, and shared purpose in advancing the work of the Church.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Southern-Asia Pacific Division has recently welcomed new leaders for the Union Mission and SSD, set to serve over the next five years. Their unwavering dedication to God's love and purpose continues to inspire the community. As they take on this important role, members are encouraged to pray for these Spirit-filled leaders who will support the church across 11 countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Timor Leste.

A diverse group of 25 attendees from 11 religious denominations gathered for the Preach Seminar on October 15, 2025, at the Central Mindanao Mission in Valencia City. This event served as an important platform for sharing insights and fostering interfaith understanding among ministers and leaders from various backgrounds.

The Research Office of Mindanao Mission Academy takes another significant step forward in its continuing research journey, proudly representing the institution in this academic endeavor at the MSP Region 10, 12, and BARMM International Research Conference in Mathematics, Statistics, and Mathematics Education, held at Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center, Boracay Island, Philippines, from October 27–29, 2025.

Bukidnon, Philippines — A compassionate call to service echoed across Central Mindanao as 42 administrative assistants from across Southwestern Philippines gathered to preach, serenade, and lead Bible studies. This week-long evangelism activity conducted in collaboration with Central Mindanao Mission and lay workers, headed by Pastor Max Dante Obbus, the Executive Secretary of Southwestern Philippine Union Conference.

Bangkok, Thailand – September 18 - 20, 2023–  Adventist lawyers from the Philippines and Indonesia came together for the first time in Bangkok from September 18 to 20, marking a pivotal moment in their professional journey at the Adventist Lawyers and Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Convention. Themed “Called to be Faithful,” the event focused on identifying key areas for professional growth and enhancing their roles in support of the church's mission.

The Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC), under the leadership of Youth Director Pastor Junifer C. Colegado, expressed full support and active participation in the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD)-wide Senior Youth Leadership (SYL) Summit, held at Mountain Provinces Mission, Baguio City, from August 27 to 31, 2025. Youth directors from all SwPUC missions and conferences, together with their delegates, affirmed the union’s continuing commitment to Christ- centered youth ministry and leadership development.r

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA MISSION— From September 5–7, 2025, the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM) held its inaugural Adventist Education Summit, drawing education leaders from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division and the General Conference.

Cagayan De Oro City, PHILIPPINES – The Southwestern Philippine Union Conference hosted two major gatherings of publishing leaders and literature evangelists, affirming their role in advancing the mission of the church through literature ministry.
