Bangkok, Thailand – September 18 - 20, 2023–  Adventist lawyers from the Philippines and Indonesia came together for the first time in Bangkok from September 18 to 20, marking a pivotal moment in their professional journey at the Adventist Lawyers and Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Convention. Themed “Called to be Faithful,” the event focused on identifying key areas for professional growth and enhancing their roles in support of the church's mission.

The Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SwPUC), under the leadership of Youth Director Pastor Junifer C. Colegado, expressed full support and active participation in the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD)-wide Senior Youth Leadership (SYL) Summit, held at Mountain Provinces Mission, Baguio City, from August 27 to 31, 2025. Youth directors from all SwPUC missions and conferences, together with their delegates, affirmed the union’s continuing commitment to Christ- centered youth ministry and leadership development.r

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA MISSION— From September 5–7, 2025, the Zamboanga Peninsula Mission (ZPM) held its inaugural Adventist Education Summit, drawing education leaders from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division and the General Conference.

Cagayan De Oro City, PHILIPPINES – The Southwestern Philippine Union Conference hosted two major gatherings of publishing leaders and literature evangelists, affirming their role in advancing the mission of the church through literature ministry.

Phuket, Thailand – August 28-31, 2025 - The ASI Asia-Pacific 2025 Convention kicked off with excitement and enthusiasm at the Phuket City Hotel, drawing over 520 delegates representing a diverse range of professions—entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals, legal experts, and many others—gathered in Phuket for the much-anticipated ASI Convention. This year's event brought together executive officers from various unions, missions, and conferences, alongside directors from across the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, marking the largest delegation in the history of the convention.

The Adventist Medical Center College community proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mirasol G. Laguerta, PhD, President of the Council of Peace Educators of Region X, for being recognized as one of the distinguished awardees of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Awards. The awarding ceremony was held on August 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Chali Resort and Conference Center in Cagayan de Oro City.

On August 13, 2025, the Worship Hall at the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference Compound was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt tributes as friends, colleagues, and former coworkers gathered for a vibrant celebration to honor the retirement and birthday of Dr. Shirley M. Bacus. This surprise event, meticulously organized by the dedicated lady workers of the SwPUC, reflected the profound admiration and respect garnered by a woman whose remarkable 43-year journey in ministry has been characterized by unwavering commitment and a transformative impact on countless lives.
