South Philippine Union Conference praises God for the election of Elder Roger Caderma as the fifth president of Southern Asia- Division during the 61st General Conference Session held in St. Louis, Missouri USA on June 6-11, 2022. Elder Caderma is going to replace Elder Saw Samuel, newly elected as one of the Associate Secretaries of the General Conference.

Hundreds of Youth Leaders Attended the NCMC’s Youth Convention

Adventist Youth Leaders and Secretaries from nearly 400 local churches of 27 Districts in the North Central Mindanao Conference territory gathered for a two-day seminar on Youth Leadership Training vis-a-vis Introduction To Media Evangelism.

Northern Davao Mission Conducts Adventist Media Training

Tagum City, Davao del Norte- Northern Davao Mission prepares and enhances its media broadcast teams from different districts through the conduct of two-day Adventist Media Training Seminar Workshop, held at Tagum Central Church on March 18-19, 2022.

With more than 137 media delegates from Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental, Pastor Nelson Paulo, SSD Adventist Media Services Director spearheaded the workshop. Pastor Roxie Pido, the SPUC Communication Director and Dr. Daryl Gay Tanamal, the SSD Associate Treasurer were also present at the workshop.

87 Souls Baptized During the Happy Family Today and For Eternity Seminar

A family seminar series with the theme, “Happy Family Today and for Eternity” was successfully conducted from March 1-4, 2022, at Cagayan De Oro city SDA Central Church. The 4-day seminar series was one of the special events hosted by the South Philippine Union Conference (SPUC) in line with the celebration of “Women’s International Day of Prayer” of the General Conference Women’s Ministry.

Kids of Hope Donate Personal Items to Less Fortunate Children

Empowered to make a difference in the lives of the little children, the Children’s Ministries Department of South Philippine Union Conference headed by Mrs. Jill Palomares joined the world church in celebrating Global Children’s Day on March 19, 2022.

The staff of Kids of Hope together with their families stuffed shoeboxes with toys, personal care items, clothing, school supplies, and food for the 30 less fortunate children in barangay Mambuaya, Cagayan de Oro City.

To celebrate the importance of Christian families, the Tagum Central Church is one with all the Adventists worldwide in celebration of Christian Home and Marriage Month for the whole month of February. This year's theme, "I Will Go With My Family: Family Resilience" highlights the importance of the relationship of the family with God in order to be resilient against the elements that break families.

South Philippine Adventist College holds ground breaking ceremony for church building project

Ground has been broken in for the South Philippine Adventist College dream church today, March 9, 2022. The sacred edifice will be built on the site where the former La Sage Auditorium was located. Church leaders from eight Missions/Conferences in Mindanao shrugged off threat of heavy rain in Davao del Sur area just to witness this historic groundbreaking ceremony.

 

Newly Built Mega Church Project Shines in Panabo City

February 24 - The South Philippine Union Conference officers headed by its President, Pr Danielo Palomares, and the engineer in charge of the project turned over the newly built Seventh-day Adventist Church under the MCIP program of SPUC or Mega Church Integrated Project in Panabo City to Northern Davao Mission, in ceremonies attended by administrators, directors, district pastors and staff of NDM, DM directors/representatives, and the church members and officers of Panabo Central Church, now the recipient-members of this church.

SPUC Ended 2021 with 80,437 New Family Members

The results were largely due to the collaborative online evangelism efforts of the leaders, church members and media volunteers through the Hope Channel local antenna, Hope Radio, and Hope Channel YouTube and Facebook accounts, which continued to thrive in the pandemic-fueled changes.

In the table below, rounding up the top three are Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) which brought in 19,741 people to faith, North Eastern Mindanao Mission (NEMM) with 13,281 precious souls, and Western Mindanao Conference (WMC) which baptized 11, 799.
